4th of August – Opening ceremony
Tonight, Wednesday the 4th of August, at 9 pm in Ottinetti square the opening of the Footbike World Championships, event organized by the Ivrea Avis group, with the sponsorship of Piedmont Region and the organizational contributions of Ivrea, Strambino and Samone Town Councils and Comunità Collinare “Piccolo Anfiteatro Morenico del Canavese” - to be continued...
Updated the Sprint rules!!!
As we said, after the end time of submissions, organization has updated the men's sprint qualification rule (it was depending on the number of submissions). Organization decided to use the Model 3 that says:
"After the individual qualification lap, 24 athletes will be qualified. The athletes with the best 8 times will pass directly to the quarter finals. The athletes with the times from 9 to 24 will make the eighth finals, where the best two times in each heat will pass to the next round. The 8 athletes passing to the next round will make the quarter finals with the athletes qualified in the individual lap with the best 8 times. From then on, regular heats with 4 athletes each, where the athletes with the best two times in each heat are qualified for the next round, till the final."

Presentation
Scooter is a sport that in the last 10 years has seen a big expansion, both for numbers and for appreciation. Its dimension has grown worldwide and the IKSA organisation that supports it is ambitious, the market supports its technical evolution and the athletes are more and more performing. Italy has contributed in very important way to this evolution and today, with the AVIS IVREA MONOPATTINO Sportive Group, is preparing to celebrate this support with the organization of the first italian edition of the Footbike World Championship.
 
Where and when
On the 4th of august the Footbike World Championship will start and take place for the first time in Italy, exactly in the Canavese area, at Ivrea, Strambino touching the territories of the villages of the Comunità Collinare Piccolo Anfiteatro Morenico Canavesano, with the help of Samone town council. More than 100 athletes from all the world will attend this important event and will compete in the many specialities tha this sport provides.

Partecipating to the world championships
One of the most important features of the Avis Ivrea Footbike Sport Group events is the possibility given to all the sport fans to take part to the event and in particular to World Championship!
DO YOU WANT TO CHALLENGE? There are not rigid selections to take part, it is not requested to be "a professional" athlete, but it is sufficient to have the wish of enjoying one self, so go to the submission page and follow the instructions!
