Vincitore del Challenge di PopSci/Core77 nella sezione speed che propone sempre aggeggi davvero curiosi e geniali, il vincitore della sezione Velocità/Trasporti è un’idea “meccanica” più che tecnologica infatti ha sbaragliato la concorrenza con un semplice accorgimento.

Il vincitore della sezione velocità è questa valigia trolley cioè con le rotelline, che diventa uno spettacolare monopattino con tanto di sistema di guida e comodo appoggio per il “guidatore”. E chi viaggia sa quanto potrebbe essere meno faticoso e anche più divertente una valigia del genere per scorazzare liberamente in aeroporti, stazioni, città guidando con precisione con qualche colpo di gamba che non fa nemmeno male alla linea! Se invece siete sfaticati ecco il motore elettrico che è pure ecologico. Ovviamente il target è un pubblico giovane o sprezzante che oserebbe sfidare il traffico umano con un trolley a tre ruote!

Description of Design Transporter: An electric power- assisted personal transport device and also a container for loading

Concept: Rush to any place but get stuck in the traffic? Fed up with carrying heavy stuffs and get sore arms? Do we always have to transport luggage? Why don’t we let luggage transport us? Imaging that you can jump out of a bus in the traffic jam, transform your suitcase into a scooter, and then have a joyful ride to the next place you want to go, “Transporter” is the product which has been developed in order to help people save time and efforts. In other words, by choosing this alternative way, people can not only win the tangible moving speed but also the intangible efficiency.

Target Group: The aimed users could be all sorts of travellers but especially young commuters. It is because that they usually have highly frequency to travel among several transport scenarios with luggage. Instead of carrying it, they are able to use it as a transport device. Besides, due to the acceptability and the notion of the new product among young generation, they are undoubtedly the target group to popularise the new product.

Innovative Design Aspects The design of Transporter focuses especially on the easy use of the product while carrying, pulling, riding, or accessing the pockets in any scenarios. It is a three- wheel based electric powered scooter and trolley-style luggage. Thanks for the new technology of electric motor and batteries, this device can be relatively light and compact compared with the existing scooters. With the demand of quick transition among different scenarios and capacity for one-day loading, it also features an innovative hands-free mechanism integrated within the luggage for saving users’ efforts.
